Benue: Gunmen attack police patrol on Ogobia–Adoka Road, injure two officers

Two policemen were shot and injured by unknown gunmen along the Ogobia–Adoka Road in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Sunday while the officers, identified as Insp. Amos Okoh and Insp. Joseph Adowebo, were on routine patrol.

Following the attack, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Adoka dispatched a patrol team to the scene, and the injured officers were evacuated to the Teaching Hospital in Otukpo, where they are receiving treatment.

The Benue Police Command has launched a manhunt for the assailants and urged residents to remain calm and provide any information that could help in apprehending the perpetrators.
