Benue: James Oche condemns assassination attempt on Gov Ortom

Ado Local Government Chairman, James Oche has condemned in strong terms, the assassination attempt on the life of the Executive Governor of Benue State, Dr. Samuel Ortom by armed herders earlier today.

Mr. Oche has also described the attack as an affront to sensibility of Benue people, hence the Governor is the the number one citizen of the state.

The embittered chairman has further blasted the Federal Government of Nigeria for failing to live up to expectations in the protection of lives and properties of the citizenry.

Oche who spoke in anger today in Igumale said, Benue State has been betrayed in the security architecture of the nation and urged the federal government to act fast to redeem it’s diminishing capability in handling security issues.

He said the herders attack on the Governor was worrisome and same was a wake up call on Nigerians to take security more personal.
