The chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Hon Simon J Akola, cast his vote alongside with prince Akola Julius and GodwinAdache in their polling unit in Odoba today.

Voting is on going, the state chairman of the all progressives cingress (APC). Cast his vote in his polling unit, Odoba Otukpa. Benue State.

The state chairman who appeal to the people to vote for their own son.

He also, clear the air on the issue of PDP case, that APC has no case with them but just a case among themselves. They took the case to court and the court did the needful.

Last batch of electoral materials depart the Gwer Legislative Chambers, BSIEC’s temporary office in Aliade.
So far, the atmosphere is calm in Gwer Local Government with leaderships of all parties in the contest fully on ground and ready to exercise their franchise.

Our correspondent who is to monitor elections at North bank market 1 and 2, Takende 1 and 2, and vio 1 and 2, says there is no single presence of Bsiec Makurdi staffs or voters at these polling units as commercial activities are in full gear in the said areas.

Speaking to residents around the market, one Mr Okoye said the selection has been done already so there is no need wasting people time in the name of election.

He said since his over 30 years in Benue this is the worst government and election he has seen.

Mr Ike an electronic dealer said he is not even aware if there is elections today because he didn’t see people going out for campaigns, in the same vain he said the Samuel Ortom administration is the worst he has seen since he came to this state about 20 years ago.

The Ogbadibo local government PDP chairmanship candidate, Hon. Sunday Onaji, has urged party faithful in the area to be calm in the wake of the court’s decision.

A statement by the Director, Media and Publicity of his Campaign Organization, Yemi Itodo, asked supporters to stay away from the election so as not to legitimize the exercise.
