Benue LG Elections Day: James Oche Commits Fate to God, Takes Inspiration in “Our Father’s Prayer”

The long awaited D day is here and across the length and breadth of Benue State, the Local Government Council elections will hold to decide who takes charge as elected Chairmen.

For James Oche who is vying to lead Ado Local Government, he has placed his fate in the hands of the Almighty God and the cravings of the Ado people. In the early hours of today, he made aloud, a prayer that has been circulated on his social media handles, which clearly indicate the source of his strength and inspiration.

The wordings of the prayer are replicated thus;

“It has been a long walk to this day and finally, history is upon us. To rewrite what was long foretold, to not only dream but to live in the reality of the dream, to affirm the wish of the many who have longed for the progress of this land.

In the wee hours of this glorious day, I commit to God my heart and present to him my intentions. That my hand may be held up in victory, that my supplications for the people I love may answered.

Today let my fate decide for me, let the truth be retold, let sincerity outshine lies, let the yearnings of the people have a place in heaven. I go with God and the blessings of my people.”

The prayer had a caption styled “Father, the Hour has Come, Glorify thy son” and ended with the words, ” let thy will be done” clearly underscores where James Oche has placed his trust, to see him through to a victorious end today.
