The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State has successfully conducted its congresses/primary elections at the Ward and Local Government Area levels of the state, pursuant to fielding candidates to the May 7th 2022 Benue Local Council Elections.
The exercise held on Tuesday, 8th March, 2022 at which emerged Councillorship Candidates of the party in the 276 wards of the state and 23 Chairmanship Candidates.
The Chairmanship Candidates are as follows:

11. LOGO – Salome Shiden Tor (Mrs.)
12. MAKURDI – Eunice Torbunde (Mrs.)
13. OBI – Akpa Anthony Ogbu
14. OGBADIBO – Aba David
15. OHIMINI – Akatu Stephen Adakole
16. USHONGO – Gajir Nyieii Veronica (Mrs.)

Our great party commends its members for their peaceful conduct during the exercises and for their show of gender sensitivity through which emerged an unprecedented 9 women among the 23 Chairmanship Candidates.
The party also urges all its candidates, stakeholders and supporters to proceed with intensive campaigning towards winning resounding victory at the council polls and to keep them in shape for the 2023 general elections.
