By Oriri Peter

Ahead of the November 30 Local Government Elections in Benue State, a renowned Philanthropist, Hon. Idoko Obera Jacob has picked his Nomination and Expression of Interest form for councillorship of Al-oono Ward 111 of Ogbadibo Local Government Area of Benue State.

This is sequel to his unanimous adoption by stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from the local government area.

According to the meeting held by the party ward caucus, it was unanimously agreed that Hon. Idoko of AI-Oono Ward 111 Ogbadibo LGA should contest for the councilorship position since his axis was the only community in the Al-oono 111 ward that had yet to assume any political office.

As a philanthropist,
Hon. Idoko has made personal contributions to the development of his community and Ogbadibo Local Government Area, amongst which are:

1. Construction of the first and only JAMB Computer Based Test (CBT) Centre.

2. Establishment of nursery and primary school.

3. Support to youth groups such as agbafu youth association, Odokwupe youth association.

In a remark, the Ward Chairman of the Party, Hon. Adikwe G. Samson described the move by Hon. Idoko Obera Jacob as an answered prayer, saying the people had long advocated for a people-oriented leader.

The State financial secretary, Hon. Emmanuel Ogwuche, on his part, described the aspirant as a worthy son to be called on at this demanding time, urging party members to throw their support behind the consensus candidate.

In his consultation visit to the political leader of the local government Hon. Christian Adaba Abba aka Mad Lion described the move by Hon. Idoko as timely and well deserved.

He gave his unreserved support to the decision made by the ward chapter PDP caucus by throwing their support behind him.
