Benue Links denies reducing transport fare
The Management of Benue Links Nigeria Limited has dismissed a transport fare bonanza list currently circulating on social media, describing it as false and not issued by the company.
In a statement signed by its Information Officer, Johnson Ehi Daniel, the state-owned transport company warned the public to disregard the unofficial list, noting that it did not originate from Benue Links.
Ehi clarified that the 2025 Christmas Transport Fare Reduction Bonanza—approved by the Executive Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Iormem Alia—will officially commence on Monday, December 8, 2025.
He attributed the circulation of the fake list to the growing excitement among Benue residents who eagerly anticipate the annual yuletide fare reduction. He, however, urged the public to remain patient as the authentic, approved fare list will be released on the same date through the company’s verified communication channels.
The statement advised passengers and the general public to rely solely on official announcements from Benue Links Nigeria Limited to avoid being misled.
“Thank you,” the Information Officer added.
