Benue netizens react as Gov Alia calls Akume his son [VIDEO]

Netizens have reacted to a trending video where the Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacienth Alia described the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume ‘his son.’

IDOMA VOICE observed that the governor made this statement during a grand reception in honour of Akume on his appointment as SGF. The event was organised by the North Central Governors Forum in Abuja.

Alia during his speech, said, ”You are a very patient man yourself, we can’t thank you enough for what you have done and what you are going to do for our nation. We are very confident that you are going to join forces with our president to deliver what it takes for the greatness of our nation,” Alia said.

”For all of you who made your time to be here at all, I can’t thank you enough. Thank you for celebrating my son,” Alia added.

During his speech, Vice President Shittime described Akume as an ally one can count on with his eyes closed.
“Benue State Governor, Yes Father has just crowned our SGF his son. However, Senator Akume is an ally you can count on with your eyes closed.

A lot of people have taken to their social media handles, blaming the governor for calling Akume his son.
