Governor Alia Condemns Murder of Justice Igbetar: Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State strongly condemned the murder of Justice Margaret Igbetar, a former President of the Customary Court of Appeal. The governor expressed shock over the incident and directed security agencies to swiftly apprehend the suspects responsible for the crime.

  2. Acting Rector Appointed at Federal Polytechnic Wannune: Tyover Dajoh has been appointed as the Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Wannune in Benue State. This appointment follows the previous Rector’s transition to a ministerial position. President Sen Bola Tinubu appointed Prof Utsev as the Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation.

  3. Governor Congratulates Acting Rector: Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia Willie congratulated Dr Tyover Dajoh on his appointment as the Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Wannune. Former Governor’s Grief Over Igbetar’s Murder: Chief Samuel Ortom, the immediate past Governor of Benue State, expressed profound sadness over the murder of Justice Margaret Igbetar, the former President of the Benue State Customary Court of Appeal. Her decomposing body was discovered at her residence in Makurdi.

  7. Escalation of Killings in Ukum LGA: The ongoing killings in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State have intensified, with reports of the murder of six individuals, including a beer parlour operator and a young man preparing for his wedding in the Chito community. Armed gangs have increased their activities in the region, causing disruptions.

  8. Governor Alia’s Search for Missing Statements: Governor Hyacinth Alia revealed that he has not found statements for 57 government accounts held in commercial banks. This discovery was made during an investigation into the government’s financial records, which showed no traces of statements for these accounts in the governor’s handover notes.
