1. Students and staff of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University Makurdi, former known as UNIAGRIC have been left stranded after a devastating flood hit the Benue State capital.
Confirming the sad development in a SOS, Mimidoo Joy Gundu, former SU President, JSTUM, called on the federal/state governments and the school management to look into this problem before it gets worse and damages the road.
2. Benue State, Governor Rev. Fr. Dr. Hyacinth Alia shed light on the reasons behind the continued freezing of state accounts. He emphasized that this measure was necessary to prevent the relentless pilfering of the state treasury.
The Benue State government had previously revealed that certain senior employees within the state were found to be receiving salaries from three different sources: the state government, local government, and the State Universal Basic Education Board.

He conveyed this message during an interactive session with constituents from Gwer West Local Government Area in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State.
4. Operatives of the the Benue State Police Command Anti- Crime Unit code named Operation Zenda JTF have smashed an armed robbery syndicate and cultists operating in the state.
The operatives stormed their hideouts around Might , Kanshio and Asked community of Makurdi following credible intelligence they gathered armed robbery syndicate operating around the area.
5. Benue State Government has appealed to all those living in flood-prone communities to vacate to safer areas.
The State Emergency Management Agency, SEMA, in a statement by the acting Executive Secretary, James Iorpuu also disclosed that the state government had designated public schools in 22 Local Government Areas, LGAs, of the state as displaced persons camps to provide accommodation for flood victims in the state in the event of flooding of communities in the state.
