1. Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has formally flagged-off construction of the 55Km Makurdi-Yogbo-Udei-Udei Branch road.
Performing the flag-off ceremony Thursday, February 24th, 2022 in Makurdi, Governor Ortom acknowledged the socio-economic benefits of the road to the people of Makurdi and Guma Local Government Areas.

2. A SeniorSpecial Assistant to Benue State Governor of New Media, Yemi Itodo has alleged marginalization against his people in the ongoing preparations for local council polls in Benue State.
Itodo, in a lengthy article on Facebook, accused some unseen hands of deciding the fate of his people in Ai-Oodo ward 1.

3. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has bagged “Courageous and Purposeful Leadership Award” courtesy of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion).

The award was presented to the governor in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital by the church authority.

The church described Governor Ortom as a courageous leader, who saw clear danger, but stood firmly for and with his people.

4. Over 8,000 members of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, JONAPWD, in Benue state have given their support to the governorship aspiration of Mr. Terver Akase, the immediate past Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom.
Speaking at the meeting the State President of JONAPWD Mr. Bartholomew Anshe-Bem said Mr. Akase was the first aspirant to meet the group before any election to solicit their support.

5. Benue State governorship aspirant and a former Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, Terver Akase has stated his position on the aspiration of Benue South, also known as Zone C, to be allowed to rule the state for the first time in 2023.
Akase said he has nothing against the aspiration of the Zone C people. According to him, democracy becomes more beautiful and sweeter when everybody is allowed to participate.

6. The Benue State Police Command said that it had charged 14 suspects to court for various crimes.
The Command Public Relations Officer, SP Catherine Anene, stated this in a statement made available to journalists in Makurdi on Wednesday.

7. No fewer than eight people have been electrocuted at Rice mill area of Wadata in Makurdi, the Benue state capital.
