1. Gunmen suspected to be gang members of late Terwase Akwaza aka Gana on Wednesday attacked Imande Kundi at Mbacher council ward in the Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State and killed four people, including a tax collector.
Report says the incident happened barely four days after bandits attacked a nearby village in the same council ward and killed a community leader and eight mourners.
2. The EFCC, Makurdi Zonal Command, on Wednesday March 2, 2022 arraigned one Stephen Tyosula Aondongusha before Justice Abdu Dogo of the Federal High Court sitting in Makurdi, Benue State, on a one count charge bordering on false information.
The defendant allegedly wrote a false petition and misled operatives of the Commission by alleging that Union Bank Plc operated an account linked to his BVN under a false name and date of birth without his knowledge.
3. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has sent condolences to the family of Gyuse Doki and the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) over the passing unto glory of Terna Doki, an ace journalist who reportedly died in his sleep.
Late Terna Doki was a seasoned journalist who practiced as a correspondent with many national tabloids including Daily Independent newspapers and later served as Weekly Editor at Daily Trust Newspapers.
4. The chances of a 21-year-old blind student of Special School for Exceptional Students Aliade in Gwer East local government area of Benue state, Miss Dorcas Mseer to register for this year’s WAEC and NECO examinations are slim as a conman allegedly duped her of N134,500 in Gboko.
She said her life at the moment is in jeopardy, calling governor Samuel Ortom, his wife and other well meaning people of goodwill to come to her aid to register for examinations and secure employment for a living.
6. Bula Wilfred, a House of Representatives aspirant for Gboko-Tarka Federal Constituency is dead.

7. No fewer than 10,000 members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State.
