1. The Executive Chairman of Ado Local Government Area of Benue State, Hon. James Oche, has thanked leadership of the party for finding him worthy as its flagbearer in the coming council election in the state.

He specifically appreciated the state governor, Samuel Ortom, Benue South Senator, Comrade Abba Moro, Deputy Governor Benson Abounu, Senator David Mark, John Ngbede and other top stakeholders who stood for him.

2. The Benue State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), on Friday, staged a road Walk Against Drug Abuse (WADA) to create awareness about the need for all Nigerians to desist from the abuse of drugs.

The road walk started from the Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) Square in Makurdi, the state capital through the popular High Level Market area to other major streets of the metropolis.

3. The immediate-past Deputy Governor of Benue state, Chief Stephen Lawani, OFR, has been appointed as the patron of Idoma Daughters and Wives Association (IDWA).

The appointment which took place during a courtesy visit of the strategic leadership of the association, led by its President, Dr Sarah Ogadure and BoT chairperson, Mrs Josephine Bongus Ikwue, to Chief Stephen Lawani, in his Abuja residence, is another subtle stamp of recognition on Chief Lawani’s dedication and commitment to the development of every part of Benue state, including Zone C.

4. Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has once again reacted to the burning of his mango farm by some miscreants in Benue State, saying he would bounce back.

Obasanjo also said the people of Benue must not be judged by this action of the few miscreants, in Gwer East Local Government area of Benue.

5. Chairman, Project Development Institute, PRODA, board chairman, Daniel Onjeh, has congratulated Nigerians over the singing of the Electoral Act Amendment Bill by President Muhammdu Buhari on Friday.

Reacting, Onjeh said Buhari imprinted his foot in the sands of time.
