Suspected Bandit Attacks Claim Lives in Kwande and Apa LGAs
Several individuals, including a soldier, were reportedly killed in separate attacks by suspected bandits in Kwande and Apa Local Government Areas of Benue State. According to local reports, the incidents occurred between Saturday and Sunday in Udedeku community of Maav-Ya, Mkoonmom District of Mbaikyor Council Ward, Turan Jato-Aka, and Ochumekwu in Kwande and Apa LGAs, respectively.

The Chief Judge of Benue State, Justice Maurice Ikpambese, has dismissed as malicious the claim that Tiv men offer their spouses to male guests for sexual pleasure under Tiv native law and custom. Justice Ikpambese made this declaration on Tuesday in Makurdi while delivering judgment in a case filed by the Incorporated Trustees of Mzough U Tiv against the Tiv Area Traditional Council (TATC).
