Men of Operation Zenda under the command of CSP Justine Gberindyer have recovered the body of 74 years old erstwhile school principal, Mr Peter Ankau, who was kidnapped, killed and buried in a shallow grave by the kidnappers.
It is learnt that on 10th August, 2023, men of Operation Zenda JTF Special Tactical team led by the Commanding Officer CSP Gberindyer, while on a random search of the Katsina Ala and Ukum Local Government Areas (LGAs) border discovered marks of a shallow grave where the corpse of Mr. Ankau was exhumed.
The body has been handed over to the family and security cover was provided for the subsequent internment of the remains at Chito town in Ukum LGA of Benue State.
It could be recalled that on 22nd May this year, ten kidnapped victims were rescued including a Medical Doctor Obadiah Etito of Hope Clinic Makurdi at Gaya, Utange Council Ward on the borders of Katsina Ala and Ukum.
However, Mr. Ankau, who was believed to be in the hands of the kidnappers was not seen.
