Governor Samuel Ortom has directed Benue State Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs to ensure that all payment vouchers get to the Director of Payroll in the office of Head of Service on or before the 21st of every month.
This is to fast-track the payroll procedures to guarantee prompt payment of salaries.
Governor Ortom cautions that any officer who flouts the directive will be sanctioned.
He says the failure of some MDAs to submit salary figures to the payroll office in good time which resulted in the delay of payment must be prevented henceforth.
Governor Ortom reaffirms his commitment to the monthly payment of workers salaries as he has done since the beginning of the year.
He reassures workers of the State that the arrears of their salaries will be cleared as soon his administration is able to access the funds.
The Governor deeply appreciates the understanding shown by the workers.
