Benue: Ortom will continue to support creative industry – Akase

Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Benue State Governor, Terver Akase says his principal, Governor Samuel Ortom will continue to support the creative industry, to enable young people maximize their talents.

Mr Akase gave the Governor’s assurance when he represented him on Friday, August 13, 2022 during the unveiling and launch of a musical album composed in his honour by Vera Achir, popularly known as TerezVee, at Alfongo Lounge, Makurdi.

He stated that Governor Ortom believes in the capacity of the entertainment industry to create millions of jobs for young people as it was already contributing immensely to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country.

The Media Adviser expressed the appreciation and commendation of the Governor for the musical album composer and producer, TerezVee, which is titled “Unstoppable Senator” in support of his 2023 Senatorial ambition.

He reaffirmed the pledge and commitment of Governor Ortom to represent the interest of the people, if elected as senator.

Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Paul Ubwa in his remarks, called on Benue people to vote en masse for Governor Ortom as a reward for his good deeds to the state, stressing that electing the Governor to the Senate will offer him the platform to continue speaking to protect the interest of his people and Nigerians at large.

Dr Ubwa equally pledged his support for the Governorship candidate of the PDP in the state, Rt. Hon. Titus Uba and all other candidates of the party for next year’s elections.

He commended the producer of the album for the choice of the title, urging her to sustain the great work.

Also speaking, President General Mdzough u Tiv, CP Iorbee Ihyagh (Rtd) said Governor Ortom has made the Tiv nation and Benue State proud, and appealed to people of Benue North-West Senatorial district to support the Governor to represent their interest as Senator in the National Assembly.

Earlier, producer of the musical album Ms Vera Achir said the album, “Unstoppable Senator” was dedicated to the Governor as her modest contribution to his senatorial bid, pointing out that she with her team will also embark on a tour of all the 7 local governments that make up the Zone B senatorial district to drum support for Governor Ortom ahead of the elections.

Other dignitaries who attended the album lunch were; Principal Special Assistant to the Governor on Special Duties, Hon. Abraham Kwaghngu, Mr Jacob Angor who represented the 2023 PDP governorship candidate, Rt Hon Titus Uba, Executive Secretary, Benue State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Emmanuel Shior, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, Frank Usaa-Adi, among others.
