Benue: Ortom will not stay in office beyond 2019 – Prophet

The cleric in charge of Grace and Light Pentecostal Church, Makurdi, Prophet Abbey Ajumbi has predicted that governor Samuel Ortom may not stay in office beyond 2019.

According to the cleric, it would amount to total waste of time if Ortom indicated interest in second term as heaven had rejected him.
Speaking on the state of the state at a press conference held in Makurdi Sunday night, the highly respected and fiery preacher warned the governor to stop using the name of God to deceive the people of the state.

Ajumbi also called for prayers for the former governor of the state, Geroge Akume, saying that what he saw was not pleasing at all.

“Since coming to this time 20 years ago, this is apparently the first time I would be commenting on the ill governance in Benue. I have always maintained closed lips on how this state is being governed but I have to speak for the first time, bearing in mind that the current governor parades himself as a Man of God.

“Heaven instructed me to warn the governor not to think of second term. Whoever knows him should tell him that God specifically asked me to warn him that he has between now and 2019 in government house, Makurdi.

“I was given this message since June but I refused to let it out because I might be labeled as an agent of the opposition party.

“The governor spends 18 hours of his 24 hours in a day blaming the past administration for ruining the state. However, the governor was a bonafide member of the party until his eleventh hour defection to the APC when the PDP rejected him. It is either he is calling God the governor of the state or telling the people how Suswam looted the state dry. It is sad.

“The former governor who is now a senator needs serious prayer. What I saw about him is not good at all,” he added.

Speaking ahead of the New Year, the Ekiti-born preacher noted that the first two quarters of 2017 would be very harsh. He said there would be famine and untold hardship but towards the last two quarters, things would pick up.

“The year 2017 is mixed with painful pleasure. The first six months of the year would be very hard and harsh but I saw things turning around before the last quarters,” he said.
