Benue: PDP abandoned me when I was sick – Titus Uba explains why he joined Alia in APC
Former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly and 2023 PDP governorship candidate, Hon. Titus Uba, has officially left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pledged his full support to Governor Hyacinth Alia of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Uba, who was the PDP flagbearer in the last Benue governorship election, made the announcement in a move that has sent shockwaves across the state’s political landscape, signaling a major realignment in Benue politics.
Explaining the reasons for his defection, Uba cited personal neglect by the PDP during a critical time in his life.
“When I was sick, no one from my former party, the PDP, cared about my welfare. Governor Alia took me to the hospital, paid my bills, and provided accommodation and feeding throughout my stay in Abuja. He came through for me when I was at my lowest,” Uba said.
