Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says Benue people made a wise choice by re-electing Governor Samuel Ortom for a second term in office.
Wike spoke today in Makurdi while unveiling the plague after commissioning Customary Court to George Akume road named after Senator Gabriel Suswam.
The Rivers State Governor who described Governor Ortom as a man of uncommon will and integrity said he was happy people of the state defended their votes and have continued to support the Governor.
Wike who lamented the total insecurity in the country said he and his friend Governor Ortom share same views on issues of governance and injustice at the centre, pointing out that he would also invite the Benue Governor to visit Rivers State.
Governor Ortom while welcoming his colleague to the commissioning ceremony said only Nigerians would fix the country for better and not outsiders, stressing that Wike was a colleague and brother with whom he shares same views against impunity and oppression.
Members of the benefitting communities including Professor Nicholas Ada and retired Naval Commander Godfrey Apev said the area had been in a jubilant mood over construction of the road by Governor Ortom to erase years of suffering.
