Governor of Benue State, Gabriel Tor Suswam who is also PDP senatorial candidate for Benue North East Senatorial district in the forthcoming election has described the opposition, All Progressives Party (APC) in Benue State as paper weight to People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

The Governor who made the declaration in Makurdi while reacting to the insinuation in some quarters by the PDP that they have taken over the state from the ruling PDP, said the PDP and all other political parties together in the state are not equal to the strength of the PDP in the state.

He said “The bunch of APC, Panado, public sweepers or whatever is their name cannot withstand the ruling PDP in Benue state because.

We PDP are fully grounded here. We are used to the people and our people are used to us in Benue, this strange party is not known to our people unlike the PDP which has already been registered in the heart of our people for a very long time.

“Our people have fallen in love with the PDP, come rain come sun, any day anytime time, our people will go with the PDP. I can assure you that the PDP will defeat all of them be it APC any name they may call themselves on the Election Day in Benue State” he added
