Benue police reveal how Ohimini local govt. APC chairman was murdered

The Benue State Police Command has reacted to the murder of Boniface Okloho, who was murdered by unknown gunmen on Saturday night.

It was gathered that Okoloho, who was the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ohimini LGA, was murdered while returning from a function, late Saturday night.

Moses Yamu, the Benue State Police Command PRO, told newsmen that Okloho was shot on the stomach along Ijami Road.

He said, “On Saturday, 16/02/2019, at about 0005hrs, one Boniface Okloho, ‘m’, 37 years old, who was the Party Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ohimini LGA; was shot on the stomach along Ijami Road, Otukpo, by yet-to-be identified person(s), while he was returning from a political meeting. He was confirmed dead at the hospital and the corpse deposited at the morgue.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Omololu S. Bishi, fdc has ordered immediate investigation into the incident with a view to bringing perpetrator(s) to book; while warning politicians and their supporters against acts of violence in the coming elections.”
