Speaking on behalf of the Hausa community in Idoma land, Alh Balla Dahiru, said Comrade Moro has been in touch with the Muslim community right from his days as chairman in Okpokwu during eid celebrations.

Alhaji Dahri recalled that when there was problem over Hausa’s burial ground, Moro was one of those who intervened and fenced the place.

He also recalled that Comrade Moro gave them money to rebuild their mosque in Otukpo when it was destroyed.

“Comrade Abba Moro is not a visitor to us here. He has been a friend of this community right from his days as chairman of Okpokwu till he became minister of the federal republic.

“We can’t forget in a hurry all you have been doing for us, it is high time you got rewarded for you benevolence. We the Hausa community in Idoma land are solidly behind you.”

He said Moro has done well for his people as well as visitors and should be given a higher mandate to continue the good work he has been doing.

Chief Acha Ike, who spoke on behalf of Igbo chiefs in Benue, said the Igbos resident in Otukpo have already adopted Comrade Moro for senate.

In his separate remarks, Moro thanked the visitors for their show of love.

He reminded them how the current APC-led government dragged Nigeria backward when they assumed power in 2015.

He warned the people against wasting their votes on any other party in Nigeria aside PDP.

Comrade Moro reminded them that a vote for PDP during the presidential election is a vote for their Son Peter Obi.
