Benue South APC elders forum pays Akume a congratulatory visit (Photos)
The delegation of Benue South senatorial district today paid a congratulatory courtesy visit to Senator Dr George Akume in his Abuja, residence today.

Who spoke unbehalf of the delegation, thanked the formal Governor, for his his sacrifice and love for the party which have earn him this honoured of becoming a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Barr. Ochoga also reminded the formal senator to still maintain his “patter of friendship and inclusion of Idoma sons and daughters during his reign as the governor of Benue State”.
In his submission Ochoga described Akume as a man of the people whose nomination as the minister resulted into wide jubilation across the entire State.
He also informed the formal Governor that “all hope lost came alive during the announcement of you as ministerial nominee especially in the camp of the All Progressive Congress family”.
In his reaction, the formal Governor, thanked the delegation for the visit and reiterated his commitment to stand by the zone any time. He also said “I cannot forget the Zone because I had my secondary school in Otukpo, got baptized and confirmed in zone C according to the Catholic faith, by this I am a full bloody Idoma man”.
The president in his wisdom has not forgotten us the Benue people and so we must remain steadfast with the party senator Akume said.
The State chairman of APC, comrade Abba Yaro thanked Sen. Akume for his tireless effort towards the success of the party in the State. “We will remain committed to you and the party”.
The Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last general election Barrister Emmanuel Jime, in his remark, appreciate the leader of the party in the State, Sen. Akume for his love and sacrifices for the party.
He also described him as a progressive leader, with GSM title meaning, a Governor, a Senator and a Minister.
Jime described the Zone C as the home of APC and appreciate their efforts and commitment especially in the last general election. According to him “Those wonderful days of Gorge Akume time will be back again in the State.
