The former Governor says Senator Moro’s victory at the Court of Appeal not only affirms the will of the people but also upholds the principles of justice and fairness.

Chief Ortom equally commends Senator Gabriel Suswam for his unwavering commitment to entrenching democracy through the legal process.

He stresses that while Senator Suswam may not have emerged victorious in his case at the Appeal Court against Senator Emmauel Udende, his tenacity and belief in the rule of law throughout the legal process deserve immense recognition and commendation.

Chief Ortom also congratulates Senator Udende whose election has been upheld by the court and wishes him a successful tenure.

The former Governor applauds the sportsmanship spirit that prevailed between Senator Suswam and Senator Udende throughout the time that the case was in court.

He appeals to all prominent sons and daughters of Benue that now is the time to set aside all differences and come together as one, with a renewed commitment to the development of the state.

Chief Ortom says Benue is facing the problem of insecurity and it is only through unity and collaboration that the state can overcome its challenges and work towards building a brighter future for generations to come.
