Benue South people will never vote for you – Abba Moro’s aide fires back at Ottah Agbo

An aide to the Senate Minority Leader, Abba Patrick Moro, has fired back at former lawmaker Francis Ottah Agbo following his criticism of the senator.

Ottah Agbo had earlier described Moro as an “omnishambolic fiasco” who must not be reelected in 2027, urging the people of Benue South Senatorial District to reject the senator at the polls.

However, reacting in a statement, Moro’s aide, Emmanuel Eche’Ofun, dismissed Ottah’s comments, insisting that the people of Benue South would never support him.

According to Eche’Ofun, while Ottah was busy attacking the senator on social media, Moro was gaining political ground and receiving endorsements across the district.

“While Hon. Francis Ottah Agbo sits on Facebook to abuse Distinguished Senator Abba Moro, PhD, calling him an ‘omnishambolic fiasco that must not be reelected in 2027,’ the senator is busy shutting down other political parties and bagging endorsements across Zone C,” he said.

The aide cited recent political activities in parts of Benue South, noting that the senator had continued to attract support.

“Yesterday it was Otukpo, today it was Agatu,” he added.

Eche’Ofun also accused the former lawmaker of pursuing personal political interests, particularly the senatorial ticket of the ruling party, while allegedly attempting to discredit Moro.

“We understand Ottah’s desperate actions, which include abusing the senator, claiming non-existent projects for Governor Alia in Zone C and joining to oppress the good people of Benue South,” he said.

He further argued that attempting to “sell the senatorial district” to anyone would not guarantee Ottah the ticket or electoral victory.

“He’s selling his people and the buyers will not trust him. The people too will never trust him with their mandate,” Eche’Ofun stated.

The aide maintained that Moro remained focused on his political agenda and was not distracted by criticism.

“For now, Senator Moro’s eyes are on the ball and he’s not distracted by whatever little noise anybody makes,” he added.
