The senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Benue South Senatorial District, Daniel Onjeh has claimed that there are ongoing plans by the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to deny him victory in some areas in the zone.
Onjeh, a former students leader said in some hinterlands in the Idoma enclave, the PDP were buying voter cards and as well and double thumb-printing.
Speaking with IDOMA VOICE on phone on Sunday, a visibly enraged Onjeh called on the electoral umpire to stand by the records in the card reader.
“I call on the INEC to be vigilant and stand by the results in the card reader. The PDP are working hard to deny me victory in some places like Ehaje Ward 2 in Owukpa, Orokam, Ado and other hinterlands.,”he said.
According result obtained by this newspaper as at 10:52 on Sunday, Onjeh was running neck-at-neck with the incumbent, Senator David Mark.
