  1. No fewer than 10,000 members of the All Progressives Congress and other political parties have joined the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue State. They were received into the umbrella party by the state governor, Samuel Ortom and other PDP leaders at Tse-Agberagba in Konshisha Local Government Area.
  2. Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has given assurances that the People’s Democratic Party, PDP will reclaim the leadership of Nigeria in the 2023 general elections. He also maintained that the party will still retain Benue winning all elective positions.
  3. Former Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs and All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship aspirant in Benue State, Dr. Sam Ode has said his pedigree, political experience and qualification stands him out as the aspirant to beat in the contest for the ticket of his party. He stated that the number of aspirants on the platform of the party would not pose a threat to his aspiration.
  4. A contender for the position of member, House of Representatives from Benue State, Philip Agbese, has charged the newly inaugurated chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State, Austin Agada, to move with the speed of light, as he resumes office.

Mr. Waya who made his intention known, weekend, in Makurdi said he was joining the race to provide selfless and purposeful leadership after being prompted by his kinsmen and community leaders.
