The governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has mocked states that are owing workers’ salaries.
The governor said any state owing salary should not exist.
Topping the list of governor owing salaries is Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State and his Osun State counterpart, Rauf Aregbesola
Amosun made this statement at a delegates’ conference organized by the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria, held in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.
According to Amosu, Ogun State had paid workers their June salary and was currently not owing any worker in the state, both the local governments and the state civil servants.
Amosun said: “A state that is not able to pay their workers’ salaries is having a problem and does not worth existing.’’
The governor however, solicited support and understanding of the civil servants, saying, without their support, he cannot achieve anything.
