Benue State government is to collaborate with the federal ministry of works for the rehabilitation of Ugbema-Jato Aka-Anyiase road to boost socio economic activities in the area.
The Governor also requested the commissioner of education,Science and Technology,Professor Dennis Itiavyar to visit Anyiase to work out modalities that could make Govt Special Science Technical School there operational again.
Governor Ortom promised to look into requests made by the Turan Youths such as to resettle the people of Moon said to have been displaced for over three years, rehabilitate the only hospital in Div-Nzaav home of late Apc political chieftain Hon. Julius Atom and construct boreholes in Jato Aka among others.
Speaking on behalf of the Turan Youth,Mr Doo-orum Agogo enumerated the challenges before people of the area as lack of good roads, hospitals and potable water and appealed for intervention of the Governor.
Mr Agogo thanked the Governor for the efforts he has made so far to provide infrastructure to all parts of the state and demanded the establishment of an IDP camp for the people of Moon who have been displaced for more than three years.
Correspondent Charles Iornumbe Reports that the Turan Youths dressed the Governor in Tiv traditional and presented to him other valuable items as mark of appreciation for finding two of their daughters Mimi Orubibi Azape and Helen Atom worthy of appointment in his government.
