Benue workers protest outstanding arrears (Photos)

Benue state civil servants have taken to the streets to protest the none payment of their salaries, despite the last tranche of Parish Club Refund and the federal allocation the Governor receives every month.

According to the workers, the Governor’s stock in trade is announcing payment of salaries on the media and continues to owe workers; even when he pays, he announces 2 – 3 months and pays only one.

A source disclosed that “Governor Samuel Ortom is the only Governor in the world who pays worker’s salaries on the social media, and he will be voted out in 2019 by Benue people for the hardship he has brought upon our people.”
