Popular Benue politician, Alhaji Usman Abubakar, popularly known as Young Alhaji, has dumped his erstwhile political party, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APDA) for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Abubakar registered as a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ongoing APC membership registration and revalidation exercise.
The Orokam-born politician who dumped the APC shortly before the 2019 general elections where he contested for the Benue South Senatorial seat, reportedly told his supporters during the registration Friday afternoon that he’s not returning to the APC as a prodigal son, but as someone who’s father found out his mistakes, apologized remorsefully and begged to return home.
When asked if he’s interested in running for any elective position in the 2023 general elections, the outspoken cum self acclaimed “Philosophical King” said 2023 is still too far for any experienced politician to declare his or her intention on whether to run for any elective position or not.
