Olikita Ekani, a Senior Special Assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom on Media, has claimed that Terver Akase, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor is under pressure to contest for Governor in 2023.
Olikita said although some youths from the state are begging him (Akase) to run for the office of his boss in 2023, but he has not made up his mind.
The governor’s aide was responding to a question by Yemi Itodo, a journalist under a thread on his post.
Olikita had paid a glowing tribute to Akase, describing how good he (Akase) is in a post on his Facebook wall.
He wrote, “CPS Terver Akase: The most youth friendly Chief Press Secretary,
The most easily accessible CPS,
A man loved across party lines because of his nondiscriminatory attitude,
I have been putting my ears on ground to hear someone speaking bad about him but all I hear is that the guy is good and will go places.
A young man who is always ready to jettison his joy for others,
His sincerity is second to none,
He had never been found wanting in any responsibility he was entrusted with in the past.
Capacity no be moi moi!
Let me case my rest for now.
My best wishes sir.”
Responding, Yemi said if Akase was truly contesting in 2023, he said the CPS has not made up his mind.
