Several social media reports indicate that there was a mild drama in Ikobi, Apa local government area of Benue state, on Wednesday, after gunmen who came to attack the community took to their heels after the youths revolted.
IDOMA VOICE gathered that the run-away attackers were suspected Fulani herdsmen.
The foiled attack came hours after gunmen suspected to be herdsmen killed over 40 residents in Odugbeho, Apa local government area of the state.
According to a Facebook user, Victor Ogejuma, the attackers ran back immediately as they were repelled by the youths of the area.
However, he did not state whether any casualty was recorded.
“Everything is ok just called somebody there, they came in the morning but ran back immediately,” he said.
