Youths from Benue State, who had recently applied for positions with the Nigeria Customs Service, have caused a stir by storming the Makurdi residence of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, to submit their CVs.
The applicants, led by activist Krayzeetee Atu Terver Meanehwule, arrived at the SGF’s house with printouts of their applications, waiting for others to join them before submitting the documents to the SGF.
The incident has sparked a wave of negative reactions from Benue netizens, with many expressing disapproval of the youths’ approach.
Social media users have criticized their actions, questioning the appropriateness of the demonstration.
The youths are hopeful that their unique method of applying will get them noticed and prompt action regarding their applications for the Customs positions.
