Benue zone C 2015: Ameh Madaki, Dan Onjeh at war over APC ticket

By YEMI ITODO
There’s currently an ongoing war between the two candidates jostling for the APC senatorial ticket in Zone C.
Two aspirants were to contest the Benue South primaries, Comrade Dan Onjeh, former NANS President and Chief Madaki Ameh, the OKALEYA K’IDOMA.
It was gathered that only Comrade Onjeh was duly screened and certified to run the election, having paid the mandatory fee of N3.3m for expression of interest and nomination forms.
In a dramatic turn, Chief Okaleya who was alleged of not buying the nomination form, appeared on the venue of the primaries on Sunday in Otukpo and started canvassing for votes from the delegates after accreditation.

Our Correspondent reported that over 2800 delegates were accredited and ready to cast votes when a phone call was received by the leader of the electoral team and the committee left the premises without formal address, leaving the delegates, INEC officials, security agents and Journalists in total confusions.
As at the time of filing this report, nothing has been heard about the contest.
Meanwhile, Comrade Dan Onjeh has vowed to follow the process to the later and get his mandate.
Speaking with our correspondent in Otukpo on Sunday, the former West African Students Union WASU President said he was up against “executive  manipulations” from his party but was optimistic that he would get the ticket as he was the only aspirant cleared by the party to contest.
All efforts to reach Chief Madaki Ameh proved abortive as he didn’t return his missed calls.
