The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) has postponed the primary election for the senatorial position which was earlier schedule to hold Tuesday October 2nd to Wednesday October 3rd 2018.
The primary election of the party would hold today in Otukpo, the powerhouse of the senatorial district after been marred by internal conflict between major stakeholders and powerful aspirants from Otukpo and Ohimini local government.
IDOMAVOICE gathered that the cause of the conflict was as a result of the doctoring of the list of the supposed ad-hoc delegates from the two out of the nine local government areas.
An inside source disclosed that ” a certain group of persons tempered with the names on the list of ad-hoc delegates from Otukpo and Ohimini local government.
“The development brought about serious misunderstanding that also led to the postponement of the election.” He said.
As at the time of this report, it has been resolved that the Primary election won’t be featuring any ad-hoc delegates from the two affected local governments.
