Best ranked Nigerian universities in 2024

The Times Higher Education (THE) has disclosed Covenant University, the University of Ibadan, and the Federal University of Technology, Akure as the leading tertiary institutions in Nigeria in its 2024 World University rankings, featuring 1,904 universities from 108 nations.

Employing the recently introduced WUR 3.0 methodology, THE assessed universities based on teaching, research environment, research quality, industry engagement, and international outlook.

Covenant University secured a spot in the global 801-1000 range, standing among the top 1,000 universities globally and emerging as Nigeria’s highest-ranking tertiary institution.
