#Better2Moro: Benue South community endorses Abba Moro for Senate as he ends Ward-to-Ward campaign today in Okpokwu

The senatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Benue South, Comrade Abba Moro, will today draw the curtain of his ward-to-ward campaign in his country home, Okpokwu LGA of the state.

Moro had toured the 9 local government areas, including wards in the senatorial district to inform the electorate of his plan for the zone when elected as a senator of the federal republic; and was assured of victory at the February 16 poll.

Ogigo Mebe K’Idoma, as the former Minister of Interior is fondly called, had on January 14 kicked off his ward to ward campaign tour in Otukpo, where he moved round the 13 wards of the ancient city.

From Otukpo, Moro moved to his mother’s country home, Ohimini, where he was endorsed by the people of the area.

From Oglewu, Ochobo, Agdagba, Onyagede, Idekpa, et al the electorate affirmed that there was not better candidate to step into the shoes of the outgoing senator, David Mark than Moro.

The train subsequently moved to Apa Local Government Area and the people; expectedly did not disappoint.

They vowed to elect Moro as the next senator representing Benue South.

From Apa, the #Better2Moro train hit Agatu and the community chorused with one voice, Abba Moro, a’galo ne (Abba Moro is our own).

The people of the area said the outspoken politician doesn’t need much campaign as his outstanding performance as a federal minister would earn him the seat at ease.

In Ogbadibo, the people amazingly declared that Abba Moro has no opponent as far as the senatorial race was concerned.

The people of Owukpa, Orokam and Otukpa said the other candidates were only in the race to ‘fulfil all righteousness.’

“Abba Moro is the answer,” that was the song on the lips of the people.

Interestingly, the presence of Chris Adaba Abah, otherwise known as Mad Lion, during the tour of Ogbadibo laid to rest all the hearsays in some quarters that there was a bad blood between the duo.

In Otukpa, which is the home town of one of the aspirants, the people asked Moro to go and rest, affirming that his victory had already been sealed.

The team, thereafter, moved to Ado where the community declared their total support for all the PDP candidates.

Their message was simple: “We can’t appoint any old man that would only go and be sleeping during plenary session. Abba Moro is tested and trusted,” they affirmed.

The people of Obi and Oju spoke with one voice. They described Moro as ‘The Bridge and a Job Provider.

The communities recalled how Moro gave Benue South sons and daughters employment opportunities as the minister of interior.

Interestingly, all the royal fathers in the communities visited endorsed Moro for the job, saying has proven to be a man of the people.
