Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu’s wife visits husband in DSS custody

The wife of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Uchechi, recently visited her husband who is in the custody of the Directorate of State Service (DSS). She expressed gratitude towards Senator Ifeanyi Ubah (Anambra South) for arranging the visit.

Mrs. Kanu mentioned that since her visit to her husband in April, she has found peace of mind, thanking Senator Ubah for his leadership within the Igbo community.

Nnamdi Kanu has been in DSS custody since 2021 following his extradition from Kenya. Prior to her recent visit, Mrs. Kanu had faced repeated denials of access to her husband.

Senator Ubah intervened promptly upon her request, facilitating her visit. During a radio address in the United Kingdom, Mrs. Kanu extended her appreciation to Senator Ubah, acknowledging the efforts of various Igbo elites who are silently working towards her husband’s release.

She specifically highlighted the concern and support from Igbo politicians, governors, and other political figures, emphasizing their collective efforts towards securing Kanu’s freedom.
