The Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing (World Wide) has reacted to statements credited to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu asserting that some part of the Benue map of the Benue South Senatorial Zone had IPOB Communities.
The group in statement by its National President, Obande Gideon said “we wish to state categorically as Nigerians that we enjoy our sovereignty as a people and will do anything to defend the unity and sovereignty of this great nation of ours.
According to him, the Benue South Senatorial Zone “Do Not Have IPOB Communities”; we advise Mazi KANU to shelve his antics of INFILTRATION as the middle-belt have paid so much for the unity of this great nation and we shall resist any form of infiltration.
“As for those arrested, we wish to reaffirm that as law abiding citizens; we totally have zero tolerance for crime and the sanctity of human life is top most on our mind. The suspects shall remain in custody and the law enforcement agencies will do their Job; we encourage all members of the public with useful information on the murder to approach the police to ease investigation.
“I wish to appeal to all young zone C youths that Crime is not an option; we must as young people uphold the core values and morales that our forefathers have laid down and do all within our power to always uphold the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended by remaining law abiding.
“We wish to sincerely commend the effort of the Benue state Government under the leadership of H E Governor Samuel Ortom, the L G bosses of Otukpo Rt Hon George Alli, Ado Chief James Oche and Okpokwu Hon Amina Audu JP; who took proactive steps to ensure that the Benue South is rid of criminals.
“We wish to warn that all those involved in any form of criminality in Zone C should desist from it henceforth as the law and the gods will spare none.
“We wish to encourage the Ado LG chairman to stay put in supporting the law enforcement agencies to ensure that insecurity is totally eliminated from Ado.
“Our security is paramount and there will be no compromise.” He added.
