Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has made a passionate appeal to the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government and security operatives to extradite Simon Ekpa, a Biafra agitator currently residing in Finland, back to Nigeria. The governor expressed the need for Ekpa to either comply with the sit-at-home directive or be held accountable for his alleged offenses.
The governor reiterated the importance of maintaining peace in the Southeastern region and putting an end to insurgency activities. His call came during a meeting with the newly appointed General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Enugu, Major General Hassan Dada, at the Government House in Owerri.
In his address, Governor Uzodinma emphasized the significance of addressing the ongoing sit-at-home orders in the region. He singled out Simon Ekpa, who has been actively advocating for Biafra while residing abroad.
“We have one man called Simon Ekpa somewhere in Finland,” Governor Uzodinma stated. “It is our hope that the security agencies, particularly the military, working with the Federal Government, will be able to either bring Simon Ekpa back to Nigeria to also sit at home with us or be made to face the wrath of the law.”
