Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has asserted that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is not responsible for the imprisonment of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Otti made this declaration while emphasizing his dedication to securing Kanu’s release through a unique and undisclosed strategy.
In a media interaction held in Umuahia, the state capital, Governor Otti disclosed that his administration has been employing an unconventional approach to facilitate the release of Nnamdi Kanu. However, he insisted that this distinctive strategy would remain confidential until it produces the desired outcome.
Otti stressed his commitment to delivering tangible results rather than generating media buzz. He expressed his preference for quiet but diligent efforts, underscoring that the progress towards Kanu’s release has been ongoing behind the scenes.
He added, “I believe in results rather than media hype. We do not want media noise. We are working very hard to ensure his (Kanu’s) release.”
Governor Alex Otti added that President Bola Tinubu’s government should not be held accountable for Nnamdi Kanu’s detention. He voiced his personal belief that the new administration should not inherit the mistakes of its predecessor.
