Biafra: Why Igbos want their own country – Afenifere chieftain, Ayo Adebanjo

Afenifere chieftain, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, has revealed why agitation for the rebirth of the defunct Republic of Biafra continues to gather momentum.

According to him, the clamour for thr disintegration of Nigeria will continue to pervade the air until the country is restructured.

He said, “Interestingly, when we talk of restructuring, some of our friends from the North will say ‘they want to break the country’. But, anyone opposed to true federalism which is restructuring is the one who wants to break the country.”

“All the agitation about Biafran separation is because they (Igbos) feel excluded under the constitution.
