In pursuant to averting the on going COVID 19 pandemic the Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) has provided handwashing items and sanitizer for visiting tax payers and staff.
The provision of these is in order to ensure that the staff BIRS who have been excluded from the “stay at home” order of the state governor are able to prevent the spread of the virus.
The hand washing items and sanitizers have been procured for all Area Tax office as well as dispensers for the sanitizers to ensure high safety standards.
Meanwhile the Executive Chairman, Mr. Andrew Ayabam, has expressed his profound appreciation to all staff of the Service for putting the state’s interest above others and daring to continue to work even at a time when their colleagues in other establishments were at home in fear of this pandemic.
He has also called on the people of the state to be compliant with all prescribed measure by the Benue State Emergency Response Committee on Corona Virus
