The Benue State Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) today floored telecominications giants, Globacom Nigeria Limited in a legal tussle over refusal to remit taxes owed the Benue State Government as taxes for the laying ofoptical fibre cables round the state.
The suit, Benue State Internal Revenue Service Vs Globacom Nigeria Limited, with suit number MHC/187/2019 was filed by Chief F.A Nomor of F.A Nomor & Co on behalf of BIRS.
Presiding Judge , Hon. Justice T.A Kume of High Court 6 today awarded the plaintiffs (BIRS) the sum of 612 Million Naira and 10 Thousand Naira as appearance cost.
