Wife of James Oche, the Ado Local Government Chairman, Mrs Blessing Ene Oche yesterday declared open the distribution of treated mosquito nets across the Local Government at the Local Government Secretariat in Igumale.
The former beauty queen who was in the company of some Local Government functionaries further stated that, the James Oche led administration has put in place every machinery to join the strategic campaign of the amiable First Lady of Benue State, Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Eunice Ortom in the fight against malaria. She further instructed that the proper use of treated mosquito nets was the best preventive measure against malaria.
Mrs Oche applauded the Initiative of the First Lady of Benue State Dr. Mrs Eunice Ortom whom she referred to as ” her mother” and “role model” with rare passion for addressing basic issues affecting the people at the grassroots especially women and children and expressed the deep resolution of her office to, with support from the Council, ensure that treated nets are distributed evenly to the targeted population.
Meanwhile distribution had started in Igumale as women, men and children assembled to take custody of their nets.
Mrs. Oche appreciated the Executive Chairman, Comrade James Oche the State House of Assembly Member representing Ado Local Government, Rt Hon. Mrs Agnes Uloko and Royal Fathers for their unwavering support for developmental initiatives of the administration and also encouraged staff of the Local Government to give the project the commitment needed to make it a success.
