Tensions flared in the Big Brother Naija All Stars house on Monday night as housemate Mercy Eke walked out of a meeting convened by the Head of House, Adekunle.
The incident occurred after Mercy broke the rules of the reality show by invading the Head of House lounge and requesting Adekunle and his friends Soma, Cross, Seyi, and Frodd to come out to the garden for practice.
Despite their refusal, citing fatigue, Mercy criticized Adekunle’s behavior, expressing her disappointment in how he was handling his role as Head of House. She further warned that if any of his friends were to become the Head of House in the future, they wouldn’t be as lenient with him.
In response to Mercy’s outburst, Adekunle called for a meeting with all the housemates in the lounge, seeking to address the issue. However, midway through the discussion, Mercy stormed out in anger.
Later, Pere approached Mercy to inquire about her reason for leaving the meeting abruptly. She explained that she was frustrated with Adekunle and his friends, who seemed energetic and engaged in a lively chat when she asked them to practice. Yet, they claimed to be tired during the meeting.
Mercy vented her frustration, saying, “He [Adekunle] dismissed me. He said he wasn’t going to do it [the meeting] today. All of them, Soma. I don’t know what you guys were gisting about. It was not like you were tired. If you were sleeping, it’s a different thing. You all were awake, talking, and laughing. So, why can’t you [Adekunle] use that energy to address the f*cking task?”
Adekunle expressed his belief that Mercy’s actions were inappropriate, but she defiantly responded, “What did I do? And I will do it to even you. Deal with it.”
