Boko Haram on the run as Buratai leads troops to battle against terrorists in Borno forest (PHOTOS)

Victory seems to be in sight for Nigerians and the Nigerian Army as troops of Operation Lafiya Dole led by Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General T.Y Buratai have launched a final onslaught on the Boko Haram elements.

The army chief, fully decked in war regalia was seen leading the troops for a final showdown with the dreaded sect.

Recall that the army chief had vowed not to return from Borno until the sect is degraded.

“We will not leave this insurgency to last like in other countries who have fought insurgency for close to 50 years. We cannot allow that to happen here”, Buratai had said.
