A terrorist ambush, perpetrated by the jihadist group Islamic State in West Africa (Iswap), in the North-East of the country, has resulted in the death of no fewer than 6 Nigerian soldiers and one civilian.
The terrorist attack occurred on Saturday in the village of Burimari (Borno state), as a military convoy was heading towards the town of Baga.
According to a member of the security personnel who survived the attack, at least six soldiers and a member of a vigilante group were killed, a dozen others wounded and two military vehicles seized by the terrorists.
